The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

AND WURTSMITH WELCOME HOME REUNION AT THE OSCODA VFW HALL, 240 CHRYSLER IN OSCODA. THE 40/8 TRAIN WILL BE GIVING RIDES FROM 4-7PM AND DANCING TO 40'S & 50'S MUSIC STARTS AT 4PM. COST IS $8 AND INCLUDES POTATO SALAD, BAKED BEANS, SALAD, ROLLS AND BUTTER. ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT VFW POST 3735 MENS AND LADIES AUXILIARIES.

There is no charge for this event, but we will be taking a free will offering to offset the Forester Brothers costs. Concert will start at 6:00 p.m. Come enjoy some great Christian music, singing, comedy and puppet show. Great family entertainment. Snacks will also be provided. AuSable Valley Engine & Tractor Club Show.

Ausable Valley Engine & Tractor Club Show on June 27, 28, and 29, 2014. Located at the Oscoda County Fairgrounds off of M33 between Mio and Fairview. Hours are Friday & Saturday 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday 9 am to noon. Featuring tractor and machine exhibits, gas engines and related machinery, garden tractors, grain threshing, baker fan, farm implements, buzz saw, corn sheller, tractor and kids games, craft show, swap meet, and daily demonstrations and parade. All farm or equipment exhibitors, craft and swap meet vendors are welcome. Rustic camping is available. Food on site – BBQ Chicken Dinner by Dan the Smokin’ Man on Saturday at 5 pm.
