Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

The Oscoda County 912 Tea Party Patriots will be hosting a candidate forum on July 29, 2014 from 6:30pm - 9:30pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 225 W. 6th Street in Mio, MI 48647. Come hear what your candidates have to say.

Water Warriors - Special Olympics of Michigan

On Tuesday the 29th of this month we, the "Water Warriors" will be arriving in Tawas around 2:00PM at the state dock. We are starting in Mackinaw City the 28th, riding jet skis (400+ miles) the entire length of Lake Huron, the St. Clair River and culminating at Harsens Island on Friday making stops along the way to raise funds and awareness of the Special Olympics of Michigan. Our stop in Tawas includes a steak fry at the Crows Nest around 6:00PM which also raises funds for the Special Olympics of Michigan. Please let everyone in your listening/viewing area know…..and if you would like to stop by the dock or the steak fry, please do. We make a living by what we achieve, But we make a life by what we give…… Hope to see you there.

Water Warriors

THE WATER WARRIORS WILL BE ARRIVING IN TAWAS CITY AROUND 2PM. THE STOP WILL INCLUDE A STEAK DINNER AT THE CROW’S NEST AROUND 6PM. THE WATER WARRIORS ARE RIDING FROM MACKINAW CITY TO HARSEN’S ISLAND, RAISING MONEY FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF MICHIGAN.
