Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Car Show, Cruise & Craft Sale

THE 6TH ANNUAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW, CRUISE AND CRAFT SALE WILL BE HELD AT AMERICAN LEGION POST #422 ON MAIN STREET, WEST OF THE LIGHT: FRIDAY, AUGUST 1ST- CRUISE NIGHT BEGINNING AT 6PM. AFTER THE CRUISE HOT DOGS AND CHIPS WILL BE SERVED AND BEST OF CRUISE AWARD BY COMMANDER. SATURDAY, AUGUST 2ND 9AM-3PM CAR SHOW AND THE LADIES AUXILIARY WILL HOST A CRAFT SHOW FROM 10AM-4PM. THEN MUSIC WITH A DJ BEGINNING AT 7PM. THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME.

15th Annual "Ride for the Homeless" motorcycle rid

Aug. 2nd. Fundraiser to benefit the Sunrise Mission. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Alpena County Courthouse located on W Chisholm St. in Alpena. The ride is approximately 100 miles and departs at 9:30. Free luncheon included at the end of the ride. This event is alcohol free. Call 464-6823 with questions.
