Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Tree Of Learning

THE 24TH ANNUAL TREE OF LEARNING LIGHTING CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE AT TAWAS AREA HIGH SCHOOL. THE TAWAS AREA CHOIR WILL BE PERFORMING CHRISTMAS CAROLS. TEACHER BILL STOLL WILL LIGHT THE TREE. A GIFT OF $10 OR MORE WILL PURCHASE A LIGHT ON THE TREE IN HONOR OR IN MEMORY OF SOMEONE. THE LIGHTS WILL SHINE THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON. APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT TAWAS AREA SCHOOLS OR ONLINE AT TAWAS DOT NET, OUR DISTRICT, TAWAS AREA EDUCATION FOUNDATION.
