Saganing Traditional Pow Wow

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe’s “Honoring Saganing Traditional Pow Wow” will be held:

 

Saturday, June 25th 11am-Dusk

Sunday, June 26th 11am-Dusk

 

Grand Entry at 1pm each day at the Pow Wow Reservation Grounds, next to Saganing Eagles Landing Casino & Hotel on Worth Road in Standish. Native traders and food vendors and rustic camping available. Daily entry $3, weekend pass $5, kids $1.

Ride For Rugrats

THE RIDE FOR RUGRATS FUNDRAISER FOR TAWAS BLACKHAWKS HOCKEY WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, JUNE 4TH, 10AM, BEGINNING AND ENDING AT TWISTED TWINZ EMPORIUM IN TAWAS CITY. COST IS $15 FOR THE RIDE AND DINNER. $7 FOR DINNER ONLY AT THE TAWAS MOOSE LODGE AFTERWARDS. ALL BIKES AND VEHICLES WELCOME.

Dean Arbour Ford Tawas City Drive for the Comm.

Drive for the Community has teamed up with Disabled American Veterans - Tawas Bay Chapter #130. Our local Tawas City Dean Arbour Ford is sponsoring this event. So come and test drive a vehicle - no charge for you to test drive. For each person that comes and test drives a vehicle Ford will donate money to DAV Chapter #130. The Event will take place at Tawas City Veterans Memorial Park (next to Tawas City Post Office). June 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ORV Safety Class

The AuSable Valley Trailriders is sponsoring an ORV Safety class at the Robert J. Parks Library. It is located at 6010 N. Skeel Ave. Oscoda, MI, 48750. The state of MI requires any youth under the age of 16 operating an ORV on public land to have a Michigan ORV certificate to operate legally. Class will teach correct riding gear and operation, basic first aid, and the rules and regulations of MI. Class is open to all youth under 16, any youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please pre-register as class space and materials are limited.
